The Angolan Revolution 1975

The former Portuguese colony of Angola in south-central Africa became the battleground during the Cold War. The Soviets and Cubans pitted against the CIA and South Africans. ("The National Liberation 1961-74 was the successful revolution against Angola's Portuguese colonists. Next was the Civil War 1975-2002, which was one of the largest and deadliest Cold War conflicts. Over 500,000 people lost their lives.")
