Alligator Snapping Turtle In Tokyo

An animal identified by reports as an alligator snapping turtle was found swimming in a pond at a park in Tokyo’s Shinagawa area yesterday. The fearsome beast, which is not native to Japan, is believed to have been somebody’s pet. Police are searching for its owner.
